you will receive a free catalog and music roll list. This catalog
is an up-dated reprint and pages 42-72 are missing. The QRS Roll
List has changed and is now separate. There may not be much in the
catalog that interests you now, but if you find a missing or
broken part when working on your piano just look it up in the
catalog. Many parts are specialized for advanced Technicians
working on instruments such as reproducing pianos, band-organs or
calliopes. Coin-operated instruments of all kinds appeared in
public places as the forerunner of jukeboxes.
Our #650 Suction Box Kit is an electronically controlled electrification unit that reduces pressure and loudness by slowing the motor. We recommend it because of the superior motor quality and two speeds to protect the rolls. Other less expensive units have always been made like our #550 unit. It controls loudness by restricting the airflow, but the motor continues to roar at full speed. The #2800 Automation Kit is fine, but more difficult to install. The #1000 and #2000 are essential. It would not be easy to decide what you need from reading the book. There are two indexes at the end of the catalog: alphabetical and numerical.
